DEPARTMENTS

PHARMACEUTICS

The Pharmaceutics laboratory is well equipped with advanced instruments for the the evaluation of various dosage forms to widen the knowledge based on drug design , development and evaluation of drugs in combination with an appropriate dosage form and we work on major area such as nano particulate drug targeting approaches and dissolution testing of drugs and formulations.

PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY

Medicinally useful substance are mostly derived from either organic or inorganic sources. Many of the inorganic salts( Antimony, arsenic and mercury) are known to be poison, Still they are used in medicine cautiously. Moreover, the structure activity relationship of the drug plays a major role in understanding the biological process of a drug. Therefore our chemistry laboratory is focused on the fundamental concepts and principles in organic, Physical, Medicinal and analytical chemistry.

PHARMACOLOGY

The person who thinks to contribute to the understanding of novel and disease processes must concentrate in the field of pharmacology where our lab is designed and promotes knowledge based on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics parameters.Pharmacology department has a Pharmacovigilance centre to provide evidence to the national centre when required.

PHARMACOGNOSY

In the present days molecular modelling from the natural products remains an important source of new drugs and new lead molecule. Most of the plant – derived drug molecule are either in their original or semi synthetic form. In the future plant-derived components will be an essential aspect of therapeutic line up of medicine available to the practitioner. So, Our pharmacognosy laboratory is designed in such a way to train the students to reach the universal standards in herbal drug research and bring a revolution of the best technology exchange.

 PHARMACY PRACTICE

Application of pharmaceutical sciences in clinical settings, emphasizing patient care, drug therapy management, and the safe and effective use of medications were our focus. We play a critical role in the education, training, and professional development of pharmacists. Providing hands-on experience through internships, residencies, and clinical rotations in various healthcare settings. To ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes by reviewing patient medications, recommending changes, and monitoring efficacy and safety. Educating patients about their medications, including proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions. In summary, the Department of Pharmacy Practice is integral to the advancement of the pharmacy profession, the improvement of patient care, and the promotion of public health.
