Women Diversity

Diversity among women refers to the variety and differences within the female population across various dimensions, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and cultural background. Promoting diversity among women involves creating environments where all these differences are acknowledged, respected, and valued. This can lead to more inclusive policies, equitable opportunities, and richer, more innovative communities and organizations.

At SIMATS College of Pharmacy, Women of different ages bring diverse perspectives shaped by their generational experiences and the social, economic, and political contexts in which they grew up.

Women come from various states with unique cultural practices, languages, and experiences.

Women come from various cultural and religious backgrounds, influencing their values, traditions, and practices.

Women’s enrolment in higher education is more than 50%. Females per 100 male students have also increased significantly. Women enrolled at the PhD level were more than 50%.

Along with the expansion of infrastructure, gender equality has been encouraged in the recruitment and placement of both teaching and non-teaching staff.

More than 50 % of the Heads of the departments are woman, taking up the representations and the leadership roles. More than 50% of the workforce are women. More than 50 % of the non-teaching faculties are women. More than 50% of the new hires are women.
